DMTA PLAYER CONDUCT GUIDE
At De Marzi Tennis Academy (DMTA), our goal is to create a safe, respectful, and productive environment where players can improve their skills, enjoy the game, and reach their potential. All players are expected to follow the guidelines below. Your cooperation ensures a safe, productive, and enjoyable environment for everyone, and helps coaches provide feedback that truly supports your development as a player.
1. Respect Coaches and Staff
Listen carefully and follow the instructions of your coach at all times.
Coaches will determine your appropriate skill level and tailor lessons accordingly.
Feedback from your coach is constructive — it is designed to help you improve and should not be taken personally or negatively.
Do not interrupt or challenge coaching during lessons.
Respect all DMTA staff.
2. Respect Other Players
Treat fellow players with kindness, fairness, and sportsmanship.
Avoid disruptive behavior, teasing, or negative comments.
Support teammates and competitors positively.
3. Focus and Engagement
Arrive on time and ready to participate.
Pay attention during drills, lessons, and feedback sessions.
Minimise distractions such as mobile phones during coaching sessions.
4. Safety First
Always follow safety instructions on court and during exercises.
Use equipment responsibly and report any hazards or injuries immediately.
Warm up and cool down as instructed by coaches.
5. Effort and Attitude
Give your best effort in every session, regardless of skill level or competition.
Be patient with yourself- skill development takes time, focus, and practice.
Maintain a positive attitude, even when facing challenges or setbacks.
6. Respect Facilities and Equipment
Take care of courts, equipment, and any facilities you use.
Leave the space clean and tidy after sessions.
Report any damage or issues to your coach immediately.
7. Competition Conduct
Compete fairly and respectfully in matches and tournaments.
Accept outcomes gracefully, whether winning or losing.
Apply the same positive attitude in practice and competition.
8. Enjoy the Game
Remember that tennis is about learning, improvement, and enjoyment.
Maintain curiosity, enthusiasm, and a love for the game in every session.
Celebrate progress, effort, and achievements — both yours and others’.
